To commemorate four decades of the Kazantzakis Museum, I crafted a commemorative visual identity that honors the past while embracing the future.
At the heart of the new identity is Kazantzakis’ own signature, reinterpreted as a key visual element within the anniversary logo. This personal mark creates a direct connection to the writer himself, while the bold, free-flowing forms of the number 40 bring it into a contemporary context.
Designed to exist in harmony with the museum’s established identity, the anniversary system introduces a vibrant, elevated color palette and a more expressive visual language. The result is a celebration of Kazantzakis’ intellectual legacy and restless spirit, reimagined for a new generation.
